Vintage Welsh Quilt

These heirloom hand stitched quilts are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This one is stunning, hand stitched and from Wales, dating from the 1920s. It is smothered with berry coloured roses on a midnight coloured background on one side. The reverse is also covered in roses and floral sprigs on chartreuse coloured background.

This quilt does show some signs of wear to the outer edges, due to its age but it remains a delightful quilt with lots of vintage charm! Being reversible makes it very versatile, like two quilts in one!
